Heres a step by step outline of an Easter party, including games, food and fun!

I love planning and organization and I love creating traditions with my boys. Gabriel is finally old enough to comprehend games and remember back to the previous year's holiday. Since Easter is coming up I have put together a comprehensive party plan for an Easter Brunch celebration with games, food and fun.
Lets start off with food
All of these recipes I tried and were so amazing!! The only thing with the Bacon, egg and cheese ring was the way the crescent rolls cooked but it still tasted great. My favorite was the blueberry croissant puff and was a super hit! These are not my recipes and I have made them myself but did not create the recipe. I have noted where the recipe came from and the link where the recipe can be found. These 3 recipes were a great brunch spread with plenty of left over. It was so much fun making the fruit pizza and delightfully turned out like a frosted fruit tart

GAMES
Easter Scavenger Hunt

Supplies
Clue printables
Water balloons/regular balloons
Tape
Sharpie pen (or pen that can write on balloon and not rub off)
This game is super fun! But is most likely for kids around 6 or older. You can certainly try with younger kids but they will need some help decifiering the clues. This clue can also be made into a team game all you will need is another sheet of the riddles and a different color balloon. This game takes some pre party preparation.
*Read all game prep first to understand complete set up because some of the steps are sort of back and forth, you will see as it goes on*I have created a printable list of clues, so prior to party time you will need to print them out and cut them up. If you choose to do it as a team game you will need to make duplicate copies.
Once they are printed out you are going to insert the clue into the balloon. I found the easiest way to do this was to roll the clue up as tight as you could then insert into the balloon before inflating it. If you are using water balloons they are harder to blow up but are smaller and easier to pop, the regular balloons are easier to blow up but are larger and harder to hide. ***Do not mass make the balloons because you need to keep in mind the clues that are in each balloon***
***Remember to finish reading the steps before actually doing this to save you time in the long run*** Label the balloons in numerical order to make sure the clues are found in the correct order, that way one clue leads to another
IF you are playing in team dont use the riddles in the same order or in the same places. For example Team one's clue #1 should be different then Team two's clue #1 but both teams will each get an opportunity for each riddle just at different times during the game
Hide the balloons
How to play the game
Explain the rules of the game, no cheating, maybe even designate a “referee”
I will read the 1st clue. The 1st clue will lead to a location of the 2nd balloon, the next ballon will have a #2 on the outside of the balloon and on the inside of the balloon there will be your next clue
Pop the balloon to get the clue
Read clue and brainstorm the riddle to determine the next location
Get to the final clue and you win!
Heres how the Riddles will look and examples of clue placement. Feel free to take this and adjust the riddle or make it your own
Riddles
This clue will be read aloud to start the game
Clue: “Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.” – John 11:25-26
Hint; this place of resurrection happens as the moon leaves the sky and is replaced with the sun
A very simplified version of resurrection is when you go to sleep at night and wake up or “resurrect” yourself the next day so hide the next clue in a bedroom
You will hide the #2 balloon clue in the bedroom, the #2 balloon will have the clue below labeled Clue #2
Clue #2: When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go to anoint Jesus’ body. 2 Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, they were on their way to the tomb 3 and they asked each other, “Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?” Mark 16:1-3
Hint: this place has ingredients that rhyme with mice
The women were bringing spices to the tomb to anoint the body, so spices are found in the kitchen, hide the next clue in the kitchen
Clue #3 But when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away. As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed. Mark 16: 4-5
Hint: A tomb when there is no light that is sustained by threads & kicks
They were entering the tomb and an angel in white appeared, so the clue is for a closet, a dark area that can be sealed off and holds personal items very vaguely like a tomb
Clue #4: 6 “Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him. 7 But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.’”
8 Trembling and bewildered, the women went out and fled from the tomb. They said nothing to anyone, because they were afraid. Mark 16:6-8
Hint: Spread the word
As the women stand their scared they are instruted to tell everyone they can about what has happened. This clue should be placed either by a phone or form of media
Clue #5: “The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name.” – Luke 24:46-47
Hint: Preach and love him, for this clue is in a gathering of family and prayer
Because God sent his son to die and rise again, we must pray and repent of our sins. Hide this clue under the kitchen table a place where we give thanks.
You will hide the final message under the kitchen table, see below for the #6 balloon
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead…” – 1 Peter 1:3
CONGRATULATIONS! You have found the final message! Happy Easter as we reflect over this day and what it means to us.
